MAN Truck and Bus (M) Sdn Bhd (MAN) presented a MAN XLION special model at the recent Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo (MCVE) 2019, with its motto of ‘Simplifying Business’. The MAN TGS 33.480, 6x4 prime mover, with its XLION lion design on the sides of the cab, makes for an eye-catching exhibit. The X in the name of this powerful truck stands for “extreme”.
Equipped with a D2676 engine that generates 480 hp and a maximum torque of 2300 Nm, the special edition vehicle comes with a double cylinder air compressor and an air dryer with two granulated cartridges, as well as a 4-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a hydraulic cab tilting mechanism and double-reduction rear axles. A self-contained and battery-operated Roof Top Air Conditioner RTX 2000 is also installed to ensure relaxing rest periods.
The Aerodynamic Package which is available in all TG series, is for the L and LX Cab and comprises of roof spoiler and side panel with two movable side flaps, to improve aerodynamics and provide better fuel savings and driving quality. Included in the Safety Package to help improve traction and controlled braking, are the Exhaust Valve Brake (EVB), Emergency Stopping Signal (ESS), Anti-Spin Regular (ASR) and Anti-Jackknife Brake (AJK-B).
Under the Mechanical and Electrical Package, LED rear lights, daytime driving lights, Tyre Pressure Monitoring system (TPM), idle shut down and aluminum rims are recommended equipment to enhance efficiency, improve fuel consumption and lower maintenance cost.

The MAN ProfiDrive program can be conducted at any location and covers both practical driving skills as well as theoretical aspects of safety, economy and vehicle inspection.
